Deutsche Lufthansa plans to recruit about 13,000 new employees this year, seeking to stay clear of staffing issues that have hurt European airlines amid a rebound in air travel.
The German carrier group–whose airlines include Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings aside from the eponymous Lufthansa–said Monday that it is looking for employees for cockpit and cabin, IT, and technicians in particular.
Lufthansa already hired more than 13,000 staffers in 2023 and more than 95,000 people currently work for the group in more than 90 countries, it said.
