United Airlines is the first US airline to resume flights to Israel, after they were suspended from the route following the outbreak of war in October last year.
The Chicago carrier said it would resume flights between Newark, New Jersey, and Tel Aviv on March 2, with nonstop service beginning four days later.
United stopped flying to Israel after Hamas militants attacked the country on October 7, and Israel retaliated by attacking Gaza.
The airline said it was “eager to resume a second daily Tel Aviv flight from Newark as soon as May as travel demand recovers”.
