Rupert Murdoch, who will turn 93 next week, is engaged to be married again less than a year after calling off his last engagement.
According to a person familiar with the matter, Murdoch will marry Elena Zhukova, a retired scientist. The wedding, set for June 1 at Murdoch’s Bel Air vineyard, would be his fifth marriage.
Murdoch divorced the former model Jerry Hall in 2022, announcing his engagement to Ann Lesley Smith eight months later by telling the New York Post it would “be my last”. But he called off that engagement a few weeks later.
The latest marriage will not affect the ownership of the Murdoch family trust, which controls News Corp and Fox, the person familiar with the matter said. Murdoch last September stepped down as chair of both of his companies, relinquishing power to his son Lachlan.
