Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.68%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the rose 0.68%.

The best performers of the session on the were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:), which rose 3.82% or 131.00 points to trade at 3,559.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TASE:) added 3.49% or 3,720.00 points to end at 110,400.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) was up 3.29% or 75.00 points to 2,355.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:), which fell 4.82% or 1,430.00 points to trade at 28,210.00 at the close. Newmed Energy LP (TASE:) declined 2.14% or 24.00 points to end at 1,096.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:) was down 1.41% or 122.00 points to 8,547.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 305 to 163 and 33 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ormat Technologies (TASE:) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.82% or 1,430.00 to 28,210.00.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.34% or 1.09 to $82.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.19% or 1.01 to hit $86.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 9.40 to trade at $1,978.20 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.63% to 3.65, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.03% to 4.02.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 101.83.
