France stocks mixed at close of trade; CAC 40 down 1.26%

Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the fell 1.26%, while the index climbed 1.46%.

The best performers of the session on the were Orange SA (EPA:), which rose 0.29% or 0.03 points to trade at 10.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:) added 0.18% or 0.11 points to end at 61.00 and Societe Generale SA (EPA:) was down 0.18% or 0.05 points to 25.54 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 4.16% or 5.20 points to trade at 119.95 at the close. Stellantis NV (EPA:) declined 3.39% or 0.59 points to end at 16.85 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) was down 3.00% or 1.34 points to 43.16.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were CGG SA (EPA:) which rose 4.60% to 0.74, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was up 1.23% to settle at 2.80 and Rubis SCA (EPA:) which gained 0.37% to close at 21.88.

The worst performers were Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:) which was down 4.99% to 171.40 in late trade, Forvia (EPA:) which lost 4.38% to settle at 20.53 and Atos SE (EPA:) which was down 4.29% to 7.06 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 328 to 179 and 111 ended unchanged.

Shares in Teleperformance SE (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.16% or 5.20 to 119.95. Shares in Atos SE (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.29% or 0.32 to 7.06.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.12% or 2.35 to $1,946.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.99% or 0.82 to hit $83.64 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.94% or 0.81 to trade at $87.21 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 102.72.
