Everyman Media Group said that it experienced record admissions in July due to the release of the Barbie and Oppenheimer films, and expects to meet full-year market expectations.

The U.K. cinema operator said Friday that revenue in July was 10.6 million pounds ($13.5 million) compared with GBP7.1 million for the same month last year, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization doubled to GBP2.6 million.

The company said that group revenue for the half year ended June 29 was GBP38.3 million compared with GBP40.7 million in the same prior-year period and that it expects a more second-half weighting due to new film releases that include Dune, Part 2 and Wonka.

Group Ebitda for the half year was GBP5.8 million compared with GBP7.5 million, with the prior period benefiting from the reduced rate of value-added tax in the first quarter of last year and popular film releases, it said.

The company has supplied current revenue and adjusted Ebitda market forecasts for the year ending Dec. 28 of GBP94.4 million and GBP17.2 million respectively. This compares with revenue of GBP78.8 million and adjusted Ebitda of GBP14.5 million in 2022.
