Canada Inflation Has Come Down But Still Too High, Central Banker Says

OTTAWA–While the swings in Canada’s consumer-price index seen in recent months aren’t that unusual, underlying inflation remains above a level consistent with the Bank of Canada achieving its target and officials remain prepared to lift rates if needed, central bank Deputy Gov. Sharon Kozicki said Tuesday.
