Chemed has named Michael Witzeman as its next chief financial officer, effective Jan. 1.
The Cincinnati-based company, which operates plumbing business Roto-Rooter, announced in early November that CFO David Williams would retire at the end of the year.
Witzeman is currently vice president and controller for the company, serving as principal accounting officer.
The company previously said Williams would continue to work with Chemed through the transition and would still provide guidance to executives.
Williams joined Chemed in 1990 and has been CFO since March 2004.
