Delivery Hero said it would close two of its tech hubs and cut jobs as the company seeks to streamline operations.
The German food-delivery company said it would close its tech hubs in Turkey and Taiwan and discontinue support roles within its global teams in a move aimed at increasing efficiency and building profitability.
Combined with measures set out earlier this year, Delivery Hero said these cuts would reduce the workforce at its Berlin-based headquarters and global service teams by around 13% in 2023. It didn’t specify the number of employees to be affected.
“While we believe that this is a necessary step as our business enters the next stage of its maturity, it does mean we will be letting go of employees who have made many valuable contributions in their time with us,” the company said in a statement Monday.
