DP Poland on Friday said it pretax loss for 2022 was stable on year as higher costs offset a rise in revenue and said it sees positive growth trends continuing into 2023.

The operator of Domino’s pizza stores and restaurants across Poland and Croatia posted a pretax loss for the year ended Dec. 31 flat at 4.3 million pounds ($5.4 million).

Revenue rose to GBP35.7 million from GBP29.9 million a year prior, within its guided range of GBP35.6 million to GBP35.9 million, given higher average ticket price and order count, it said.

Its group earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization increased to GBP1.7 million from GBP1.1 million, coming at the middle of the its GBP1.6 million to GBP1.8 million guidance range.

Sales growth in Poland and Croatia for the second quarter have been broadly in line with the first quarter, it said.

The group said it had seen food-price rises starting to abate, with some food costs dropping throughout the second quarter of 2023 and this should support profitability for the rest of 2023. The company is on track to solidify the brand’s position in Poland, it said.
