Shares of Dragonfly Energy climbed after the company joined the Nevada Battery Coalition as a founding member.
The stock is up 12% to $2.79 in midday trading. Shares have fallen by three-quarters since the start of the year.
The manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries said Monday that it has joined the coalition, which aims to support Nevada’s emerging lithium battery industry, as a founding member and has been granted a seat on the coalition’s board.
The board seat will be occupied by Tyler Bourns, Dragonfly’s chief marketing officer. Dominic Sinnott, who serves as the company’s director of government affairs, will also participate as a member of the organization.
