Marlowe said that it regularly reviews its business units to maximize shareholder value but hasn’t made any specific decision on any of them.
The U.K. software-and-services provider–which was responding to recent press report about its testing, inspection & certification business–said Monday that the TIC business is a high-performing provider of critical safety and compliance services in fire, water hygiene and air quality, with a proven track record of delivering strong growth.
Late Friday Sky News reported that the company was considering a potential sale of the business for about 650 million pounds ($828.7 million).
