Winter weather has snarled air traffic across much of the U.S. on Sunday, forcing the cancellation of hundreds of flights and the delay of more than 3,000 others.

More than 19% of flights scheduled to leave Boston’s Logan International were canceled as of 2:14 p.m. ET, according to the data tracking site FlightAware.com, and another 24% were delayed. There were cancelations and delays at Newark Liberty International, Chicago’s O’Hare International, San Francisco International, and Seattle-Tacoma International as well.

A total of 757 flights in the U.S. were canceled as of Sunday morning, according to FlightAware, while 3,353 were delayed.

About 9% of flights by
United Airlines
were cancelled, according to FlightAware, while 21% of
Alaska Air
Group flights and 9% of
JetBlue
flights were canceled.

JetBlue
and Alaska Air were waiving change and cancellation fees and fare differences for travelers affected by the storm in the Northeast, according to their websites.

Heavy snow blanketed parts of the interior Northeast, including more than a foot of snow in some areas. Another storm was working its way east across the West and Plains states.

Weather forecasters were also warning of another storm for the Northeast on Tuesday that could bring drenching rain, coastal flooding, and powerful winds.
