Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 1.06% to hit a new 6-months low, while the index declined 1.85%, and the index lost 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the were Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:), which rose 1.09% or 0.74 points to trade at 68.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) added 0.10% or 0.20 points to end at 205.90 and Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) was up 0.07% or 0.06 points to 89.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 5.32% or 1.15 points to trade at 20.46 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) declined 3.85% or 1.31 points to end at 32.73 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) was down 3.30% or 0.40 points to 11.73.
The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.28% to 60.10, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) which was up 0.32% to settle at 40.67 and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (ETR:) which gained 0.15% to close at 68.80.
The worst performers were Encavis AG (ETR:) which was down 8.12% to 11.82 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 6.16% to settle at 10.59 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 5.59% to 54.90 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.28% to 60.10, Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was up 1.02% to settle at 199.00 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which lost 0.16% to close at 313.10.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 6.22% to 23.36 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 6.16% to settle at 10.59 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 5.59% to 54.90 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 497 to 127 and 103 ended unchanged.
Shares in RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.85% or 1.31 to 32.73. Shares in Encavis AG (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; down 8.12% or 1.04 to 11.82.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 6.02% to 19.03 a new 1-month high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 7.45 to $1,839.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.72% or 0.64 to hit $89.46 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.41% or 0.37 to trade at $91.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 106.80.
