Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.39%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.39% to hit a new all time high, while the index declined 0.26%, and the index fell 0.44%.

The best performers of the session on the were BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 3.10% or 1.49 points to trade at 49.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) added 2.18% or 2.40 points to end at 112.25 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:) was up 1.86% or 2.44 points to 133.48 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which fell 2.33% or 0.93 points to trade at 38.93 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.90% or 7.10 points to end at 366.70 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) was down 1.64% or 0.88 points to 52.62.

The top performers on the MDAX were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which rose 2.42% to 2.49, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.24% to settle at 141.35 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which gained 1.91% to close at 35.69.

The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.40% to 22.98 in late trade, Vitesco Technologies Group AG (ETR:) which lost 3.23% to settle at 76.45 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.94% to 12.70 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which rose 2.42% to 2.49, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 1.91% to settle at 35.69 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 1.20% to close at 39.38.

The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.40% to 22.98 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 2.94% to settle at 12.70 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was down 2.61% to 31.36 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 346 to 311 and 87 ended unchanged.

Shares in Aixtron SE (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 1.91% or 0.67 to 35.69. Shares in Aixtron SE (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 1.91% or 0.67 to 35.69. Shares in Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.20% or 0.47 to 39.38.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.61% to 14.80.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.80% or 15.50 to $1,961.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.40% or 0.32 to hit $79.77 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.29% or 0.24 to trade at $83.55 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 101.32.
