The death toll from floods in and around Beijing has risen to at least 33, local officials said on Wednesday.
Xia Linmao, standing deputy mayor of the Chinese capital, said as of Tuesday, record-breaking rainfall caused by Typhoon Doksuri also left 18 others missing.
The remnants of the storm, which hit China last week, have brought the heaviest rainfall in 140 years to Beijing, state media reported.
At least 10 people were killed in the neighbouring city of Baoding in Hebei province, officials said.
Floodwaters have continued to pelt north-eastern China, as authorities in the city of Shulan reported 14 fatalities, including a deputy mayor.
