Apple: Investors will be keen for updates on the growth trajectory for the latest iPhone model and Apple’s services when the tech giant reports quarterly earnings after Wall Street’s closing bell. Other earnings: Eli Lilly, ConocoPhillips, Moderna, Molson Coors, Fox, Shopify and Paramount Global will report before the market opens. DraftKings, Carvana and Booking Holdings will report after the market closes.

Economic data: New orders for manufactured goods in the US are predicted to have increased 2.4 per cent in September, accelerating from a 1.2 per cent increase in August.
