US President Donald Trump’s media company is launching a financial services business with the help of Charles Schwab.
Trump Media and Technology Group announced on Wednesday morning that it was partnering with the discount brokerage firm to launch a variety of investment options including exchange traded funds and crypto-related investments.
The new service will be part of Trump’s Truth Social platform and be called Truth.Fi.
As part of the partnership, Trump Media announced it was placing $250mn in a custodian account at Schwab.
Trump Media’s move came a day after Elon Musk’s X announced a partnership with Visa that will allow the social media platform the ability to process payments later this year.
