I am a Finance student at the University of Glasgow, studying towards a BFin and developing my understanding of public markets alongside my academic work. I write primarily as a way to think more clearly about businesses, challenge my own assumptions, and improve my analytical framework over time. My focus is on understanding companies as real operating businesses rather than just tickers on a screen. I tend to spend most of my time on fundamentals, cash flows, balance sheets, and the underlying economics that drive long-term value. I am generally sceptical of simple narratives and short-term market reactions, and I am most interested in situations where expectations appear to diverge from business reality. Most of my work looks at US equities, largely because of the depth of disclosure and the range of business models available, but I am not confined to a particular sector or geography. At this stage, I deliberately try to stay broad, as I think this helps build better judgement and pattern recognition across different industries. My approach is long term in nature. I am not trying to predict near-term price moves or trade around headlines. Writing is part of how I learn. I am simply sharing my thinking as it develops, knowing that I do not have everything figured out and aiming to refine my perspective with each piece.
