Bouygues company Bouygues Construction on Tuesday said that two of its subsidiaries, Dragages Hong Kong and Bouygues Travaux Publics, won a contract worth 468 million euros ($495.7 million) for the extension of Hong Kong’s Tung Chung metro line.
The contract, carried out on behalf of Hong Kong metro operator MTR Corporation, covers the extension of the line to the west of Lantau Island, Bouygues Construction said.
It includes the construction of a 1.3 kilometer tunnel and a new station, Tung Chung West, to be the terminus of the metro line, the company said.
The project is the fourth carried out by Bouygues Construction for MTR Corporation, it added.
